Kindness vs. Niceness

Kindness respects people’s boundaries, recognizes people’s humanity, and promotes a pro-social environment for healing and connection.

Niceness is a subjective judgment. When someone tries to coerce someone into a certain behavior to be considered “nice,” it is possible that the behavior is an imposition.

Of course, some things are genuinely nice in a healthy way too.
