Introduction

Hello,
This is me, pictured here in 2016. I am thrilled to create this Website, Nurture Kindness (nk), to promote kindness.

Purpose

The purpose of this site is to share and promote content that helps us to build a kinder world to promote well-being.

Background

This Website, Nurture Kindness, is an extension of the project I led, as the coordinator, with an inclusive group of collaborators, dedicated to promoting kindness. The project is to create a physical manifestation of a journey toward becoming kind. I envision the process of becoming more kind as a journey, such as by walking a labyrinth. A labyrinth is a metaphor for a journey of intention, reflection, and meaningful action. The intention of this Website is to explore the practice of becoming kinder where the insights, nuances, and practicality of promoting genuine kindness can be explored together and in public.

Why here, why now?

Embracing genuine kindness is not necessarily easy. Nurture Kindness aims to learn, explore, and share resources to promote kindness in healthy and sustainable ways. It is a great time to become more intentional about acknowledging our common humanity and commit to becoming kinder to ourselves and others.
